2. What TutorMe offers today
TutorMe is in an invite-only pilot. Tutors can create and publish profiles and submit verification documents, and visitors can browse published profiles. Booking lessons, paying for lessons and tutor payouts are not yet available. Nothing on the site is an offer to supply lessons or a promise that they will be supplied. Prices shown on tutor profiles are set by tutors and are indicative only until bookings open.
3. Verification
“TutorMe Verified” means TutorMe has reviewed the tutor’s profile photo, identity document and a qualification or certificate. It is not a guarantee of a tutor’s teaching quality, conduct or suitability, and it is not an official certification.
4. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account. Children never have their own account: a parent or legal guardian adds them as learners and books for them.
- Give accurate information and keep your password secure.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful, misleading or harmful.
- Do not try to access other people’s information or interfere with the service.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why.
5. Changes
We will publish new versions of these terms on this page and ask you to accept them before you continue using a signed-in area.
6. Liability and law
[Legal review: limitation of liability, consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act and ECTA, dispute resolution and governing law.] These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
